Santa Delivered Bike Gear:
Santa was quite generous this Christmas and treated me to a few cold weather cycling related gifts. The first being a set of Shimano Bar Mitts. These funk things are like gloves that mount to your handlebars. The Shimano Bar Mitts primary function is to keep the wind off your hands and protect them from the elements. It’s said that you can wear lighter gloves when using the Shimano Bar Mitts. There are versions for mountain bikes and road bikes. I have the road bike in medium.
Next up Santa provided me with Pearl iZUMi Men’s AmFIB Cycling Bib Tight with Chamois. This goes to show Santa does pay attention and does not disappoint. In my quest for winter warmth I have wanted to compare the Pearl iZUMi Men’s AmFIB Cycling Bib Tight with Chamois with my Pearl iZUMi Men’s Elite Therm Barrier Bib Tight with Chamois.
Last up is the Feedback Sports Velo Wall Rack. If all honesty Santa had nothing to do with it. This was the resulting purchase of a gift card from Dad. I had been looking for a way to store two bikes in a deep closet in my apartment building. The Feedback Sports Velo Wall Rack looks to be the perfect solution. The Feedback Sports Velo Wall Rack is adjustable to fit any style of bike no matter how irregular the frame. I hope to get them (I bought two) mounted this weekend.
Speaking of Christmas the weather is not co-operating with my desire to ride at all. It’s been cold, windy with snow and rain tossed in.
Look for updates, pictures and reviews soon.
